1. Breeding fee and transportation fee must be paid prior to
shipment of semen and is non-refundable.
2. $350.00 breeding fee includes 2 collections of semen.
3. If after 2 heat cycles, additional collections are incurred;
there will be a collection fee of $50.00 which must be paid prior to
delivery of semen.
4. The original shipping container must be returned undamaged to
Rafter CF Training Mule Co. within one week of receiving the
container along with a certified veterinarian statement which states
the semen was used on the mare listed below. If the container is not
returned to the breeding facility within the week, there will be a
$50.00 fee for the container. If we do not receive the container or
the $50.00 container fee, the Live Foal Guarantee described below
will become null and void.
5. Each time a shipment of semen is sent, the mare/jennet owner will
pay the shipping fee that is determined by FedEx.
6. Mare/jennet owner should know that Saturday deliveries are
expensive and not available to all zip codes. Sunday collections or
deliveries are not available.
7. The mare/jennet owner is to notify the jack owner 2 weeks before
the planned breeding date and again within 48 hours before the
transported semen is to be shipped.
8. If the mare/jennet does not become pregnant, the breeding
facility will need a letter from the veterinarian stating that the
mare is not pregnant before additional semen will be sent.
9. Rafter CF Training Mule Co. jack owners will not be responsible
for incurring costs (such as vet fees, boarding or any other related
fees) for preparing the mare for breeding in the event semen
shipment is delayed or not received on scheduled day of delivery.
10. In the event that the mare/jennet does not conceive after
breeding through three heat cycles, the jack owners will return the
breeding fee for the same mare only if the mare is examined by a
veterinarian for a reproductive evaluation and found to be
reproductively sound.
11. LFG: Rafter CF Training Mule Co. honors a live foal guarantee.
If the mare/jennet does not produce a live foal that stands and
nurses, the owner will be entitled to a return stud service. This
privilege shall only apply if the jack owners are notified within 48
hours of the foal’s death and are provided with a statement of
details from a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of the foal’s
birth. If the above two actions are not followed, the privilege
becomes null and void. This clause is also binding in case of
abortion.
12. Limitations regarding the jack: During times of great demand,
there may be days when semen availability is limited and semen
delivery may be delayed. Should the jack die, become unfit for
service, be sold or unavailable due to uncontrollable circumstances,
the stud fee will be refunded upon mare owner’s written request.
Upon refund of the stud fee, both parties will be released from this
contract.
